CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) COMMUNICABLE DISEASE NOTICE
The 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19, “Coronavirus”) is a known and rapidly evolving epidemic that is affecting events worldwide, with continued spread and impacts expected. COVID-19 became a known event on January 22, 2020 and was recognized as an epidemic as of February 3, 2020.
eWed Insurance Services, LLC is currently assisting customers who wish to change their wedding plans, need assistance or would like to file a claim. We are here to fully understand the nature of your situation and provide assistance and applicable coverage under your insurance program.
We urge any customer who has a medical issue or who has any other questions regarding their insurance program to call us. We review every claim based on its unique facts and circumstances and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Claims related to COVID-19 are specifically excluded from coverage for customers who purchased insurance on or after February 24, 2020. As of March 30, 2020 any communicable disease related losses which result from a governmental order or travel advisory / warning, including COVID-19, are excluded from coverage. It is our understanding that all wedding and event insurance companies have the same exclusions in place.
To work with you, until further notice, although not included under our insurance program, we are currently accommodating any customer who wants to change the date of their wedding and we will extend coverage to the new date without any additional fees. All other terms, conditions, and exclusions of the program apply as normal.
All other benefits of our cancellation insurance program remain unaffected by COVID-19, including, without limitation coverage for the following:
- Vendor bankruptcy and vendor no-shows
- Accidental injury or illness of a immediate family member
- Cancellation or postponement due to extreme weather
- Unexpected Military deployment
- Loss or damage to your wedding photographs and videos
- Lost or damage to wedding gifts
- Lost wedding rings
- Damage to wedding-day attire, including the bride’s wedding dress

Customers may change their coverage effective dates to cover a new or rescheduled wedding at no additional cost. Outside date for a rescheduled wedding (the date by which the wedding needs to take place) is October 23, 2021.
